I just finished reading that long post, and yea that got me thinking. It kinda rationalized a lot of the stuff I already had going through my head, just never really bothered to think about.

Since you mention a lot of philosophical gaps in the movie, that gets me to something that doesn't really fascinate me but always makes me wonder.

Movies always follow one set of characters. In some movies, where the whole world seems to be affected, you know someone else has to have some epic tale taking place at the same time based on the same events. I always wonder what else could be happening. I guess I could follow those kinds of stories by reading up on other literature based on the same universe, but then again I'm really not that interested.
