city-wise: we have a very small scene, and while we do have cliques and groups if you've been partying for more than several months u atleast know(or should) 70% of the ravers in chicago.

region-wise: not so much, theres probably only a handful of people(not counting industry) i know including myself with ties to some of the other scenes(southern il, stl, ohio, milwaukee, detroit, theres others but those 6 are the most close knit imo) most of them are the older ravers as from what i've heard it was more accepted to travel back then, nowadays i dont see too many ppl headin out. this could be cause of ppl jus being broke or that the scene has died down and theres less quality parties going around. or both.

when i go down to stlouis or detroit i often times run into alot of ppl i kno from those areas, repeatedly. or like @ demf theres atleast 50-100 kids i know from here that go up so i see them too. as far as non-event meetups(assuming u meant that) i've not really seen any around here besides glowsticking/poi/firespinners.

sometimes, not as much as i'd like to, i dont live close enough to the city , there are plenty of ravers i kno that do , and do hangout during the week tho.

Let me know!
i'd say it depends, about half the ppl would see it as jus a party, they usually get bored and stop raving after awhile. others like me have met some of the coolest and worthwhile friends while partyin, and will continue to go and hang-out with those people as much as we can

p.s. i dig ur avatar, i tottally have that shit hangin up in my house. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hKNIebN2N4 o_O;
