Honestly, I think theres a difference between irresponsible drug use and responsible. Maybe one pill will get you up and keep you going all night, if that's your thing, and you can handle it, whats the problem? Drugs as a rule aren't that disabling, can help people relax, be social, and enjoy themselves (See: Alcohol, a legal drug).
On the other hand, the idiot kids at raves who a) don't know what they're doing, b) take WAY too much, and c) are in for drugs, are the ones who ruin things. Some of us "drug users" don't just go to get fucked up, but we enjoy taking in substances sometimes. Acid aside, I can't think of a drug where a low, moderate doseage is hard to moderate and maintain.
That being said, quit acting like San Diego is a straight-edge, drug-free scene, because I'm sure that that isn't the case, given the availability of drugs around here. But just encourage people to be responsible at ALL venues. Saying "go fuck up LA with your E" is worse then saying "don't rave at all." But the reason SD has no all-age shows is the silly ass kandi kids who cuddle-puddle all over and generally act immature, which is a problem.
Regardless, I wanna fucking dance.
