Being an under 18 in San Diego, I think that the reason for so few public all-ages shows (I don't know much about the "underground" around here if theres even one?) is that kids are immature about raves, and are likely to just get sucked into drugs or whatever, and venues just don't want to deal with idiots. It screws those of us who happen to be mature, and are on the cusp of turning 18, but hey, I'll thank them when I'm past the age threshold. Kids pull stupid shit and do stupid things. Simple as that.
