Hey guys I was drawn to the rave scene because i had the impression that the music they play at raves was different from the music that they play at regular clubs

but like all in all, ive noticed that most of the raves i have gone to they play either regular radio techno at high rpms, or dnb

i guess i kinda was looking for something harder

i dont know how to explain it, but im looking for something with an assload of bass, and sure it can be going hella fast, but i noticed that allot of djs try to exite you with speeding up the rpms, i mean by all means it's exiting but im just saying speding up ANYthing doesnt make it better

i dont know, i thought techno was an alternative to rock because it was the only thing that was harder.

but very few djs share my vision of seriously apocaliptic sounds

i mean arent there any djs aout there who think a rave should be a completely apocaliptic and chaotic experience full of mund numming bass and like dazzling ass melody? by apocalyptic i mean something that could be the soundtrack to the apocalypse you know? something almost scary in how much it makes you jump, something where in between bass throbs, theres a space of exstacy, awaiting the next hit.

all i get these days going to raves is hella immature stuff, i dont mean to be dogging on anybody, i dont know how i could stress that enough (that sentence rhymes... really)

anyway, hopefully you guys can answer any of these questions

-from my description do you think that you know any techno genres that fit in there? if so please tell me i swear to god i always go stand ten inches away from the speaker in the hardcore room of raves, just to get a little dance out of me!!

-am i really just describing hardcore? because allot of the djs that go under "hardcore" just arent hard enough for me

-Is this not what raves are about?, are raves really about dnb and trance and harcore is that it?


oh well, i just love the scene, so many hot people, and as you may have noticed, also the worst drug addicts, and pushers from the city show up at raves. no matter what i'd hate to leave the scene, but if it's where i dont belong , i guess ill just take my self somwhere else, you know the problem is that my musical taste is hella too worn out, i mean ive exhausted my interest in like EVERY genre of music in general , and frankly i've become more of a musician , over the years (guitar) ; this hard ass shit im telling you i crave for is really just for the weekends, it's to feed my non-tehnical ; non-intelligent; all instinctive and natural lust for HARD ASS BASS AND DAZE

if i still ca find anything i like, maybe i should pursue making my own techno, i'm sure SOMEONE sympathizes
