Epic Trance. Ha. Psy Trance. Ha. Progressive. blah blah blah. I have heard it all before.

And if you don't think I know music to apoint where I haven't listened to enough trance to make an honest decision, well then try working for a well know internet record store for 8 years doing the buying and sampling of ALL music, and then tell me I need to listen to more music. I have over 10,000 records in my collection too, and there is house, techno, reggae, hip hop, and everything in between.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
I don't argue your music knowledge one bit... Most techno purists are musically intellectual people... And believe or not, I understand your hate for trance music... I know quite a few techno purists and some I'd even call elitists... Meaning, thier attitude is "if it's not techno, it's not shit."....

Most techno, in my opinion, is boring and dry... It's like a sandwich with no condiments, all meat and bread.... Yah the basics are covered... A nice steady 4/4, some percussions, and some synthlines... But overall, techno leaves way too much "gray area" as far as music listenablility is concerned...

I like to think of pure techno music as the core of the many genres that spawned from it... Now as a purist, you may think that as these genres that came from techno as perversions of the original form... But I like to think of it as "Alpha" of music... The first of a long line of technology-based dance music genres...

I've jacked this thread long enough... I agree to disagree with you (even though, I don't completely disagree with you)... But the makes for great discussion...

Now back to your regularly scheduled program...
