Only time will tell. I know how bad it sucked to be underage, and the limits that get forced on you. My advice...
When I was underage, I found out about raves by word of mouth. That is the best way.. find a friend who is willing to take you into the scene, and ....
I used to use a fake ID to get into a lot of clubs, and raves. Grow some balls, and borrow a friends ID. What's the worst that can happen? I was using an ID that was from a person 5 years older than I was, and didn't look a thing like me. It worked almost every time!!! It's more effective if there is a big line..
Finally.. you only have less than a year to go. I know there is very little difference between 17/18 years, but it goes by fast. If you do manage to get into clubs, or raves, be thankful that you made it in! Blend in with the adults who act like children, but don't get out of hand.
Some people don't care for underage kidz ... they attract unwanted attention to the scene.
If you find someone who is passionate about the music, they will be more than willing to introduce you, and keep you company until you feel like wandering off yourself.
For now though.. keep practicing your moves. It will give you an edge once you actually get out there.
