Joshua Perry-Dayton Dayton Ohio-Hard Trance
Airplane Clique/GSP/Clockwerk
Joshua's gift for music dates back to his early childhood where his unique attention to detail was displayed at the age of 6 when he picked up a guitar and simply played it after watching his father. His talent thus grew later in life with his countless years of work on both the clarinet and the alto saxophone. It was obvious that this musical phenomenon was destined for greatness. Falling in love with the EDM scene and music around the mid 2000, Joshua decided to take his musical experience to another level. Inspired by the epic sounds of Micro, and the dark sounds of Myth I S Joshua gathered an assortment of records and began playing house parties in and around the South West Ohio area under the moniker Oompa Loompa. It is under this name that Joshua released his first of many mix CDs "Trance in Da Pants" which was able to land him a few spots on local lineups at EDM events. It was around this time as well that Joshua and long time friend and partner Tom Sawyer started Airplane Clique productions. Gathering a large artist roster and organizing local events lead to a dominate following for the AC crew. Growing in the industry Joshua released his 2nd mix "Oompa Loompa Double O-M-P-A" as well as his first original track "I'm Your DJ". Placing second in an original track contest beyond partner Tom Sawyer, Joshua knew then that he had a profound talent for this business and wanted to push it to its absolute fullest. Joshua then landed a spot on the up can coming G.S.P. roster. The level of promotions from both AC and GSP helped push Joshua beyond the boundaries of Ohio and out unto many other cities and regions playing along side of some of the biggest names in the business. Playing out for a few years under the title of Oompa Loompa gained a strong following and popularity amongst mid-western and north-eastern EDM lovers, however in the summer of 2004 Joshua decided to take it to the next level. Changing his name from Oompa Loompa to his real name Joshua Perry and his style of play from dark, epic trance to hard dance, Joshua released his new mix "Dance it Up!" and his new track "Take Off!" clearly displaying his maturity and evolution. Joshua has not only become a staple in the Midwest, but continues to push the boundaries of his musical talent, releasing “Dance it Up Vol. 3” in 2006 and coming at the crowds with a slew of new production such as “Like a Prayer” featured on the new mix. In order to push himself more as an upcoming DJ/Producer in the Midwest Joshua signed on to Clockwerk Productions to further himself as a staple of the area's hard EDM family. Already creating a buzz amongst the hard dance genre, Joshua has co-headlined shows all along the east coast with names such as Cosmic Gate, Kimball Collins, Huda Hudia, Bam Bam, Josh the Funky 1, Fauste and Shortee, AK 1200, DJ Tronic, Venom, Rob Gee, DJ Hardware, and Delta 9 just to name a few. As he continues to express his musical talent, and eventually have his own "Live Trance Theater" Joshua will continue to push his name and sound through out the world as well as his solid claim as a serious DJ and producer.
