I agree with everything you're saying OldSchoolRava. I started spinning hardcore in '98 or '99 and that was really the turning point for the scene. The gangster movement really did trash all the work we put into it. A lot of the hardcore dj's moved into Acid Techno and Drum & Bass. Now I mostly spin frenchcore ,when I am not spinning D&B or Acid, it's got a hard edge but not as vicious as some stuff out there. Plus it has lots of cool hip hop samples.
