I don't think so... Linear algebra is the math behind computers... matrix... kernals... etc.
I just had a natural talent for differential equations, but I had friends in EE who had to take it mutiple times... The differencial equations that I used in physics (quantum and normal) and fiber optics were not as hard as the ones we got into for EE...
